BYD's connected services: BYD app. BYD's UK handbooks say a new owner can see your saved settings and recommend a factory reset before you sell. BYD's UK site doesn't explain removing a car from the BYD app.
Bought it used? BYD's UK documents don't describe how a buyer removes a previous owner. Ask the seller to unlink the car using the steps below, or contact BYD.

[Car icon] → System → Version → Factory reset → RestoreBYD's UK handbook says settings made in the infotainment system, including the address list and navigation, can be accessed by a new owner, and recommends a factory reset before the car is transferred or scrapped. The reset takes two to five minutes; don't touch the screen or switch off while it runs.

Good to know
- BYD's UK handbook says the BYD app registers with the email address you gave the BYD dealer.
Not found in BYD's public UK documents: How a buyer removes a previous owner from the BYD app, how a seller removes the car from the app, and the menu path for offline mode. Only the Sealion 7 and Dolphin handbooks were checked. Menu paths can differ by model and software version; each one here is for the version its source names.
