TCL QM7K (2025)
Built-in far-field microphone
Has micThis model has a built-in far-field microphone, which is the hardware hands-free voice control uses.
TCL's own official spec sheet lists "Hands-Free Voice Control: Far-Field Mic Array" directly in its Connected TV specifications table — an explicit, built-in TV-side microphone confirmation, not a remote-based feature. The same sheet separately lists "Remote Control Type: Backlit Voice Remote," so this model has both a voice-capable remote and a genuine far-field array in the TV itself.
Automatic content recognition (ACR), including over HDMI
UnverifiedWhether this model runs ACR hasn't been confirmed from a citable source yet.
What ACR is and how to turn it off →
The Texas Attorney General's December 2025 petition alleges ACR use by TCL, but it does not establish the behavior or settings path for this specific QM7K series. The previously listed setting name came from secondary setup coverage and was not independently confirmed in TCL's model documentation, so viewing-data ACR remains unverified here.
Scans your local network for other devices
UnverifiedLocal network scanning hasn't been confirmed for this model from a citable source yet.
How to put a TV on its own network →
Unlike the LG entries on this site — where local-network scanning is tied to a specific, named investigation (Gamers Nexus/Level1Techs, 2026) — no equally rigorous primary source could be found describing this specific behavior on a current TCL model. Stays unverified rather than assumed true just because a different brand's model does it.
Security vulnerabilities in Google TV
UnverifiedFirmware support status hasn't been confirmed for this model from a citable source yet.
What that actually means for your TV →
No official TCL policy stating a minimum number of years of Google TV/software updates for this specific model could be found, unlike Samsung's public seven-year Tizen commitment. Stays unverified rather than assumed either way.
Settings paths for Google TV
