ACR settings: Samsung 2026 models (UK/EU e-Manual)
- Viewing Information Services
Settings → All Settings → General & Privacy → Terms & PrivacyUntick Viewing Information Services (UK: "I consent to Viewing Information Services") to withdraw consent for Samsung's ACR.
The Privacy Choices item in the Smart Hub menu leads to the same consents. Samsung's notices name the checkbox; the manual gives the menu path. Samsung's UK notice says it covers broadcast TV, apps and connected devices such as set-top boxes and consoles.
Agreements and toggles can be reset by a software update, so check again after your TV updates.
Ad settings: Samsung 2026 models (UK/EU e-Manual)
- Interest-Based AdvertisingAds continue, less personalised
Settings → All Settings → General & Privacy → Terms & PrivacyUntick it to stop ads being personalised. The number of ads stays the same.
In the UK the checkbox reads "I consent to Interest-Based Advertising". The Privacy Choices item in the Smart Hub menu leads to the same consents. To fully stop personalisation, also turn off "Improved personalized ads with Samsung account data" in your Samsung account (US). Samsung's notices give the checkbox name; the manual gives the menu path.
No setting to turn them off is documented. Samsung's UK notice says that withdrawing consent to Interest-Based Advertisements "will not reduce or prevent the delivery of generic or contextual advertisements", and that not opting in means you "will not reduce the number of ads you see".
These settings cover ads in the TV's own menus, not ads inside individual apps. Menus can change with software updates, so check again after your TV updates.
