Built-in far-field microphone

Unverified

Whether this model has a built-in microphone (beyond the remote) hasn't been confirmed from a citable source yet.

What a far-field mic does →

LG's US specifications have no Hands-free Voice Control row. They list "Intelligent Voice Recognition: Yes" and "Magic Remote Control: Built-In", which don't say whether the TV itself has a microphone.

Automatic content recognition (ACR), including over HDMI

Has ACR

This model has LG's ACR feature (branded "Live Plus"), which analyzes on-screen content — including over HDMI — to identify what's playing.

What ACR is and how to turn it off →

LG's 12 Sep 2026 statement covers LG smart TVs in general, not this model. It says ACR is optional, turned off by default, and only runs once you accept LG's Viewing Information Agreement; you can withdraw or turn it off in the TV's settings.

LG says this TV looks for compatible devices on your home network, for features like connecting to them, and doesn't describe a setting that turns this off. To keep it away from your other devices, you can put the TV on a separate guest network.

How to put a TV on its own network →

LG says its smart TVs use device discovery to find compatible devices on your home network, such as set-top boxes, games consoles and smart home devices, and that this information isn't used for advertising (statement, 12 Sep 2026). LG doesn't describe a setting that turns it off. A 2026 Gamers Nexus test on an LG G3 found the TV repeatedly contacting other devices on the network even with no agreements accepted. Whether the list of devices is sent to LG hasn't been shown publicly.

Turn it off to stop Live Plus (LG's ACR feature).

Viewing Information agreement
Settings → All Settings → Support → Privacy & Terms → User Agreements

Untick Viewing Information to withdraw the consent that ACR needs. LG says ACR only runs once this agreement is accepted.

LG's manuals give the User Agreements location. LG's published agreements name it "ACR and Viewing Information Agreement" in the US and "Viewing Information Agreement" in the UK; LG says only the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy are required for smart services, so leave those two alone.

Agreements and toggles can be reset by a software update, so check again after your TV updates.

LG's manual is hosted on a site with a broken HTTPS certificate, so the link uses plain HTTP. If your TV has been updated to a newer webOS version, its menus may follow that version's layout instead.
