Built-in far-field microphone

No TV mic

This model has no built-in far-field microphone — voice control goes through the remote.

What a far-field mic does →

The EU product information sheets for all five sizes say "Voice recognition sensor available: No". LG Poland's spec pages list no microphone in the TV: they say the set comes with a standard remote, the Magic Remote is optional, and the voice features work "with the Magic Remote".

Security vulnerabilities in webOS

Unverified

Firmware support status hasn't been confirmed for this model from a citable source yet.

What that actually means for your TV →

LG Czech Republic's support page for the 43UP75003LF lists software version 03.53.45, dated 30 Sep 2025, and nothing newer. LG gives no end date for this model, so whether it still gets updates isn't confirmed by LG's pages. The EU product information sheets promise software and firmware updates for at least 8 years after the model stops being sold, but don't say when that was. Checked 2 Nov 2026.

Automatic content recognition (ACR), including over HDMI

Has ACR

This model has LG's ACR feature (branded "Live Plus"), which analyses on-screen content — including over HDMI — to identify what's playing.

What ACR is and how to turn it off →

LG's 12 Sep 2026 statement covers LG smart TVs in general, not this model. It says ACR is off by default and runs only once you accept the Viewing Information Agreement.

Looks for other devices on your home network

Looks for devices

LG says this TV looks for compatible devices on your home network, for features like connecting to them, and doesn't describe a setting that turns this off. To keep it away from your other devices, you can put the TV on a separate guest network.

How to put a TV on its own network →

LG says its smart TVs use device discovery to find compatible devices on your home network, such as set-top boxes, games consoles and smart home devices, and that this information isn't used for advertising (statement, 12 Sep 2026). LG doesn't describe a setting that turns it off. A 2026 Gamers Nexus test on an LG G3 found the TV repeatedly contacting other devices on the network even with no agreements accepted. Whether the list of devices is sent to LG hasn't been shown publicly.
