LG NanoCell NANO80 (2020)

Sizes: 49, 55, 65, 75″

Built-in far-field microphone

Unverified

Whether this model has a built-in microphone (beyond the remote) hasn't been confirmed from a citable source yet.

What a far-field mic does →

LG's own official 2020 spec sheet (via Abt) lists "Google: Google Assistant Built-In, 'Works with' Google Assistant" and "Alexa: Alexa Built-In, 'Works with' Alexa" — but unlike the 2022 NANO80 sheet, this one has no separate "Hands-free Voice Control" row at all to compare those against. Given how the 2022 sheet used near-identical "Built-in"/"Works with" language for a model that separately, explicitly listed "Hands-free Voice Control: -" (not included), it's plausible this 2020 model works the same way — but that's an inference from a different model year's sheet, not this one's own explicit statement, so it stays unverified rather than assumed false.

Automatic content recognition (ACR), including over HDMI

Runs ACR

This model runs LG's ACR feature (branded "Live Plus"), which analyzes on-screen content — including over HDMI — to identify what's playing.

What ACR is and how to turn it off →

Source describes Live Plus generally on LG webOS TVs rather than confirming this specific model, but ACR has been a standard webOS feature across the lineup for years.

Scans your local network for other devices

Scans LAN

Like essentially all webOS sets, this model scans the local network for other devices. There is no settings toggle for this — the reported option is network-level (a guest network or VLAN, or disconnecting the TV from the internet and using an external streaming device instead).

How to put a TV on its own network →

Reported by Gamers Nexus and Level1Techs (2026) as webOS-level network scanning with no per-model settings toggle; described as platform-wide behavior rather than tied to a particular model — this finding isn't OLED-specific.

Security vulnerabilities in webOS

Unsupported

This model is no longer receiving platform-version updates (last known update: 2023).

What that actually means for your TV →

Same as this site's 2020 OLED (CX) entry: 2020 models across LG's lineup were confirmed excluded from the webOS 24/25 Re:New rollout, which only reached 2021-and-later sets. Last known meaningful update was the 2023 full-screen webOS interface refresh — this is about platform-version updates, not proof that zero security patches have shipped since.

Settings paths for webOS 5.0

ACR (Live Plus)
Settings → All Settings → General → System → Additional Settings → Live Plus

This project's own firsthand testing against a physical 2020 CX found Live Plus directly under General; this published source places it under General → System → Additional Settings instead. 2020 OLED sets got a 'full-screen webOS' interface update (~2023) that reorganized menus, which likely explains the mismatch — if this path doesn't match what you see, check both locations, and re-check after any firmware update.

Privacy agreements
Settings → All Settings → General → About This TV → User Agreements

Look for Viewing Information, Voice Information, and Interest-Based Advertisement specifically — leave the basic Terms of Use alone. Agreements can be silently reset by a firmware update; re-check after updates.

Ad tracking
Settings → All Settings → General → Additional Settings → Advertisement

Agreements and toggles can be silently reset by a firmware update — worth re-checking after your TV updates itself.
