This model has no built-in far-field microphone — voice control goes through the remote.

What a far-field mic does →

LG's product information sheet for the 32LQ63006LA says "Voice recognition sensor available: No". LG's UK page says voice control needs a Magic Remote, which is sold separately.

Automatic content recognition (ACR), including over HDMI

Has ACR

This model has LG's ACR feature (branded "Live Plus"), which analyzes on-screen content — including over HDMI — to identify what's playing.

What ACR is and how to turn it off →

LG's 12 Sep 2026 statement covers LG smart TVs in general, not this model. It says ACR is off by default and runs only once you accept the Viewing Information Agreement.

This model is still receiving firmware/platform updates.

LG's UK page says security updates are supported until 31 December 2026. LG's product information sheet separately promises software and firmware updates for at least 8 years after the model stops being sold.

Live Plus
Settings → All Settings → General → System → Additional Settings → Live Plus

Turn it off to stop Live Plus (LG's ACR feature).

LG's manual site has a broken HTTPS certificate, so the link uses plain HTTP.

Viewing Information agreement
Settings → All Settings → Support → Privacy & Terms → User Agreements

Untick Viewing Information to withdraw the consent that ACR needs. LG says ACR only runs once this agreement is accepted.

LG's manuals give the User Agreements location. LG's published agreements name it "ACR and Viewing Information Agreement" in the US and "Viewing Information Agreement" in the UK; LG says only the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy are required for smart services, so leave those two alone.

Agreements and toggles can be reset by a software update, so check again after your TV updates.

Home PromotionTurns these ads off
Settings → All Settings → General → System → Additional Settings → Home Settings → Home Promotion

Turns off the advertisements on the Home screen.

LG's manual is hosted on a site with a broken HTTPS certificate, so the link uses plain HTTP. If your TV has been updated to a newer webOS version, its menus may follow that version's layout instead.

Limit AD TrackingAds continue, less personalised
Settings → All Settings → General → System → Additional Settings → Advertisement → Limit AD Tracking

Ads based on your interests may no longer be shown. Ads themselves continue.

The same screen has Reset AD ID.

These settings cover ads in the TV's own menus, not ads inside individual apps. Menus can change with software updates, so check again after your TV updates.
