Vizio TV: ACR and ad settings
Where to find the ACR (automatic content recognition) and ad settings on Vizio TVs, grouped by software version. Each path comes from an official manual, help page or privacy notice, linked under it. Menus differ between versions, so find your model below or search for it.
On Vizio TVs, the documented ad settings change how ads are personalised; the ads themselves continue. Each section shows what's available.
VIZIO OS, 2025 models onwards
Models: Vizio Quantum 4K R-Series (2026)
Ads in the TV's menus: they can't be turned off; the settings below change how they're personalised.
ACR settings
- Viewing Data
All Settings → Privacy & Legal → Viewing DataTurn it off to stop Viewing Data (Vizio's ACR). Vizio says turning it off also deletes historical logs of Viewing Data, and that it isn't collected unless you turn it on.
Vizio TVs are sold in the US only.
Ad settings
- Limited Ad TrackingAds continue, less personalised
Menu → Privacy & Legal → Advertising → Limited Ad TrackingTurn it on and ads are less relevant to you. Ads continue.
Vizio TVs are sold in the US only.
No setting to turn them off is documented. Limited Ad Tracking makes ads less relevant rather than removing them.
