Sony UK's Samba Interactive TV page covers Google TV models, 2020 Android TV models and some 2018–2019 Android TV series, and Sony UK says Samba arrived with an Android update in 2017. This 2014 set doesn't run Android and isn't covered. Sony's North American list does include the KDL-40W600B and KDL-48W600B, but that doesn't tell us about UK sets. No Sony page says whether this model collects viewing data in any other way. Its manual describes a separate setting, Help > Customer Support > Upload TV Usage and Statistics, which sends usage information to Sony for software quality checks. Checked 23 Oct 2026.
