Sky Glass Gen 2 (2025)
Built-in far-field microphone
Has micThis model has a built-in far-field microphone, which is the hardware hands-free voice control uses.
Sky's own product page and multiple independent reviews confirm a far-field microphone array built into the TV itself (not just the remote): the wake phrase "Hello Sky" works hands-free from across the room. Sky's own materials also describe a physical microphone mute button on the side of the TV, and a manual voice-control button on the remote as an alternative — both of which only make sense if the primary microphone is in the television chassis. This is a real "Has mic" finding, not a remote-based one like several other brands on this site.
Automatic content recognition (ACR), including over HDMI
UnverifiedWhether this model runs ACR hasn't been confirmed from a citable source yet.
What ACR is and how to turn it off →
Sky's addressable-advertising system is branded "AdSmart" and is well documented as targeting ads using first-party subscriber/account data (location, household composition, viewing history tied to the Sky account) — but no source found describes Sky Glass performing on-device automatic content recognition (audio/video fingerprinting of what's on screen) the way LG's Live Plus, Samsung's Viewing Information Services, or Vizio's Viewing Data do. AdSmart may be a materially different mechanism (account-level ad insertion rather than device-side fingerprinting), so this stays unverified rather than being mapped onto the ACR claim other brands make.
Scans your local network for other devices
UnverifiedLocal network scanning hasn't been confirmed for this model from a citable source yet.
How to put a TV on its own network →
Unlike the LG entries on this site — where local-network scanning is tied to a specific, named investigation (Gamers Nexus/Level1Techs, 2026) — no equally rigorous primary source could be found describing this specific behavior on a current Sky Glass model. Stays unverified rather than assumed true just because a different brand's model does it.
Security vulnerabilities in Sky OS
SupportedThis model is still receiving firmware/platform updates.
What that actually means for your TV →
Sky's live software-version page listed current Gen 2 builds QS037.046.00P and QS038.015.00P when checked in September 2026. This establishes active support on that date, but Sky does not promise a minimum future support period.
Settings paths for Sky OS
