Insignia F30 Series (2025)

Sizes: 55, 58″

Built-in far-field microphone

Unverified

Whether this model has a built-in microphone (beyond the remote) hasn't been confirmed from a citable source yet.

What a far-field mic does →

Insignia's own Best Buy specifications list "Voice Assistant Built-in: Amazon Alexa" but no separate microphone or far-field array row, and describe the remote itself as "Voice control, Standard, IR." Amazon's own Fire TV documentation describes "hands-free" Alexa control on Fire TV smart TVs like this one as working by pairing the TV with a separate Amazon Echo speaker over the network — a genuinely different mechanism from a microphone built into the television, and one this site hasn't seen clearly distinguished in other brands' marketing. No source confirms or rules out a microphone in the TV chassis itself, so this stays unverified rather than assumed from the "hands-free" marketing language, which describes the paired-Echo feature, not necessarily TV-side hardware.

Automatic content recognition (ACR), including over HDMI

Runs ACR

This model runs Insignia's ACR feature (branded "Automatic Content Recognition"), which analyzes on-screen content — including over HDMI — to identify what's playing.

What ACR is and how to turn it off →

This model runs Fire TV, and Amazon's own official Automatic Content Recognition help page — not Insignia's — describes the feature directly: when enabled, it fingerprints content "through connected devices, such as a cable set-top-box" (not just Amazon's own apps) by sampling audio or pixels and matching against a database, and can be managed at Settings → Preferences → Privacy Settings → Automatic Content Recognition. Amazon's page doesn't state whether it's on by default. Enabling it on one Fire TV device doesn't enable it on others.

How to put a TV on its own network →

No model-specific primary source confirming or ruling out local-network device scanning was found for this model.

Security vulnerabilities in Fire TV

Unverified

Firmware support status hasn't been confirmed for this model from a citable source yet.

What that actually means for your TV →

No dated Insignia or Amazon firmware record or minimum software-support term for this specific model could be found, unlike Samsung's public seven-year Tizen commitment. Stays unverified rather than assumed either way.
