Amazon Fire TV Omni QLED Series (2025)

Sizes: 50, 55, 65, 75″

Built-in far-field microphone

Has mic

This model has a built-in far-field microphone, which is the hardware hands-free voice control uses.

What a far-field mic does →

Amazon's own official device specification page lists "Mic: Bottom 2x2 Mic Array" for this exact model — confirmed physical microphone hardware in the TV chassis. The same page separately lists "Far-field Alexa control / Hands-free voice control: Supported only through linked Echo device" — meaning the built-in array's wake-word listening is not enabled natively on this generation; genuinely hands-free "Alexa" activation requires pairing the TV with a separate Amazon Echo speaker over the network, similar to what this site found described for some other brands' Fire TV models. "Near-field Alexa control / Mic button on remote: Supported" covers press-to-talk use without an Echo.

Automatic content recognition (ACR), including over HDMI

Runs ACR

This model runs Amazon's ACR feature (branded "Automatic Content Recognition"), which analyzes on-screen content — including over HDMI — to identify what's playing.

What ACR is and how to turn it off →

Amazon's own official Automatic Content Recognition help page describes the feature directly: when enabled, it fingerprints content "through connected devices, such as a cable set-top-box" (not just Amazon's own apps) by sampling audio or pixels and matching against a database, and can be managed at Settings → Preferences → Privacy Settings → Automatic Content Recognition. Amazon's page doesn't state whether it's on by default. Enabling it on one Fire TV device doesn't enable it on others.

Security vulnerabilities in Fire TV

Unverified

Firmware support status hasn't been confirmed for this model from a citable source yet.

What that actually means for your TV →

Amazon's own developer documentation for this model doesn't state a minimum number of years of software updates the way Samsung's public seven-year Tizen commitment does. Stays unverified rather than assumed either way.
